รายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงรางวัลทางภาพยนตร์สุดยิ่งใหญ่แห่งปีอย่าง Academy Awards หรือ Oscar ครั้งที่ 93 ถูกประกาศออกมาเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว โดยในปีนี้ ภาพยนตร์ที่ได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงมากที่สุดคือ ‘Mank’ ภาพยนตร์ขาวดำของค่าย Netflix (10 สาขา, รวมทั้งภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม) ในขณะที่ ‘Minari’ ภาพยนตร์ภาษาเกาหลีทุนสร้างอเมริกันจากค่าย A24 มีชื่อเข้าชิงทั้งหมด 6 สาขา รวมทั้งรางวัลใหญ่อย่างภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม, ผู้กำกับยอดเยี่ยม (Lee Isaac Chung), บทภาพยนตร์ดั้งเดิมยอดเยี่ยม, นักแสดงนำชายยอดเยี่ยม (Steven Yeun) และนักแสดงสมทบหญิงยอดเยี่ยม (Yuh-jung Youn)

สำหรับภาพยนตร์ที่ติดโผ Best Picture อีก 6 เรื่อง ได้แก่ ‘The Father’, ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’, ‘Nomadland’, ‘Promising Young Woman’, ‘Sound of Metal’ และ ‘The Trial of the Chicago 7’ ส่วนสาขาภาพยนตร์นานาชาติยอดเยี่ยม ประเทศฮ่องกงผ่านเข้ารอบสุดท้ายเป็นครั้งที่สาม ด้วยภาพยนตร์ ‘Better Days’ ของผู้กำกับ Derek Tsang โดยมีคู่แข่งอย่าง ‘Another Round’ (เดนมาร์ก), ‘Collective’ (โรมาเนีย), ‘The Man Who Sold His Skin’ (ตูนิเซีย) และ ‘Quo Vadis, Aida?’ (บอสเนียและเฮอร์เซโกวีนา)

ในสาขาเพลงประกอบภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม นักร้องอาร์แอนด์บีสาว H.E.R. ได้การรับเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงครั้งแรกสำหรับเพลง “Fight for You” จากภาพยนตร์ ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ ส่วนผู้เข้าชิงรายอื่นๆ ได้แก่ Daniel Pemberton และ Celeste สำหรับเพลง “Hear My Voice” (The Trial of the Chicago 7), Savan Kotecha, Rickard Goransson และ fat max Gsus สำหรับเพลง “Húsavík” (Eurovision Song Contest), Diane Warren, Laura Pausini และ Niccolò Agliardi สำหรับเพลง “Io Si (Seen)” (The Life Ahead) และ Leslie Odom, Jr. และ Sam Ashworth สำหรับเพลง “Speak Now” (One Night in Miami) โดยงานประกาศรางวัลจะมีขึ้นในวันจันทร์ที่ 26 เมษายนนี้ ตามเวลาในประเทศไทย
