งานประกาศรางวัลทางดนตรีที่มาจากการโหวตของแฟนๆ อย่าง ‘MTV Video Music Awards’ ประจำปี 2020 ถูกจัดขึ้นอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อคืนวันอาทิตย์ที่ผ่านมา (30 สิงหาคม) ตามเวลาในท้องถิ่น ด้วยการแสดงที่ออกอากาศจากสถานที่ต่างๆ ทั่วนิวยอร์ก โดยบอยแบนด์เคป็อบ BTS ที่นอกจากจะขึ้นแสดงในซิงเกิ้ลล่าสุดอย่าง “Dynamite” เป็นครั้งแรกแล้ว พวกเขายังสามารถคว้ารางวัลกลับบ้านไปครองได้มากถึง 4 สาขาด้วยกัน ได้แก่ Best Group, Best K-Pop, Best Pop และ Best Choreography จากเพลง “On” เป็นรองเพียงแค่ป็อบสตาร์สาว Lady Gaga ที่คว้ารางวัลได้มากที่สุดในค่ำคืนทั้งหมด 5 สาขา ในขณะที่ศิลปินผู้ชนะรางวัลในสาขาอื่นๆ มีทั้ง Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, BTS, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion และ BLACKPINK
